As it was rather early there were not many visitors to the Capitol and it didn’t take us long to stand in a line at the entrance. Having been checked at the entrance by the policemen we came into the visitors center where we were met by a very professional guide who gave us earphones because as the number of people visiting the Capitol is numerous the guide talks to the visitors through the microphone on a certain frequency and only her group hears her or him. And the excursion began. We visited all the halls for tourists and though it was my second visit to the Capitol I felt as if it was my first visit because the guide told many interesting things I haven’t heard before..

Here in Washington I met with Avi Arditti , editor of the Voice of America Special English programs. He took us for lunch to  Ray’s Hell Burger restaurant where President Dmitry Medvedev and President Barrack Obama had dined.
